Description
Conspiring spindle-limb’d foxglove spirits emerge from the night shadows; adorned with foxglove ruffs and a somewhat sinister manner. Elegant foxgloves surround them, and they are framed by an intricate border of fox bones and spiders webs. Hand lettering of the folk name of Folks’ Gloves, also features.
Inspired by Medieval Manuscripts, Kelmscott Press and herbal grimoires, this piece is from ‘Venenum Viriditas’; an ongoing poisonous project with my fellow People of the Hills.
The original drawing was created using graphite.
