Long limb’d creatures with sharp teeth and talons emerge from the shadows; smiling, sneaking creatures flit amongst the mushrooms and dance under the pale moonlight; witches peer from rowan trees, weaving berry charms and cold winter breath manifests strange whisps in the night. The veil is thinning…

This website serves as my online portfolio, where the beings I conjure, reside. Drawings of The Unseen made manifest; invocations of Faerie and the crepuscular denizens of folklore and otherworldly arcane creatures that exist betwixt and between.

I have wanted to tell stories for as long as I can remember, and these drawings are my attempt to share them; to bring to life the tales I keep close.

These creatures are also available to buy as prints in my shop should you wish to welcome them into your home.

My name is Naomi von Monsta. I live where Yorkshire meets Lancashire, a very liminal place, filled with folklore and magic, alongside woodland and moorland and a great many craggy vales and mossy cloughs which inform and inspire daily. You can read more about me and my work here.

This blog will allow me to share my work, from finished pieces to creations in progress; my studio, lovingly called The Belfry, nestled in the eaves of my West Yorkshire home will feature, as will adventures into the wilds around my home and afar.
